1862); w/c of the Williamson house, Belfast, Maine, signed Carl
Pulcifer, 1939; classic oil painting of a young lady sitting
in a rowboat in gold gilt frame; rare 1” to scale w/c
drawing of the engine of the Portland & Ogdenburg Railroad
(later part of the Maine Central Railroad), drawn by Carl
E. Merrill, 1889 in original frame and given t Dr.
Philip H. Cook in 1946; watercolor by William Thon of
fountain with building, 4” x 5” framed; reverse
painting on glass of George Washington by Wm. Matthew
Prior in original gold gilt frame; watercolor by Charles
Copeland “Outlet at Crawford Pond”, Union,
Maine, Oct. 1930; w/c by Maud Briggs Knowlton (1870-1956)
of Monhegan Island houses, hillside with church, 11” x
16”. Maude was one of two women in the Monhegan Art Colony; several
oil paintings from a Rockland estate in original fancy
gold frames in good condition, include a Saint Bernard dog
portrait, woods scene with birches, waterfall, pasture scene
with cows; pallet knife oil, 18” x 24”, Maine cove
with boats, etc. signed Kay; rare print
certificate framed “Brotherhood of Locomotive
Firemen” given to the Paul Revere Lodge #485,
very colorful; two (2) early Princeton University football
posters, 1901 and 1902; black & white photo of
the surf on Monhegan Island off Lobster Cove, 1938, by Alfred
Fuller, 10” x 14”; photograph of Monhegan
Lighthouse by Warren Taylor, 1936; two (2)
yard-long photos of Thomaston, Maine High School Class of 1926
and 1927.
