“Rare Piece of History”, a dinner menu hosted by
Jack Dempsey on November 29 th, 1937 for Babe Ruth; the menu
of wild game shot by Ruth, Bob Edge, Jack Matthews and Messrs.
It is signed by Babe Ruth, Robert Ripley, of “Ripley’s
Believe It or Not”, Lynn Bogue Hunt, Howard Chandler Christy,
Grantland Rice, Commissioner of Baseball, plus more…including
Edge, Matthews, and Driscoll. A 20” Mickey and Minnie Mouse
dolls from the 1940s, probably by Charlotte Clarke; 19 th C.
Hobby Horse; Eastern Airlines dinner flight program hosted by
Capt. Eddie Rickenbacker - (WWI fighter pilot hero) - on October
2, 1935 with a guest list and several signatures including Rickenbacker,
Gene Vidal, George Gershwin, Dusty Rhodes, A. W. Winter, Carl
Lindberg and more!! Boston Garden memory includes the Western
Union office with chairs; also from the opening of the Ted Williams
Museum is a signed print and invitation to the opening in 1994;
also lots of books, including 50+ book lots. Books include 4
volumes of Ethnology 1906, 1907, 1908 and 1909, reporting the
activities of the American Indian; several interest books; lots
of magazines; “The Pigtail of An Lee Ben Loo” by
John Bennett with dust jacket, plus more!!
