Charles Marion Russell [1864-1926]

Born in St. Louis, legendary painter and sculptor of the American West, this bronze is part of the Ernest and Morton Quantrell estate items. It comes directly from the family, never offered for sale until now. Runquis painting from the Quantrell family hangs in the National Wildlife Art Museum in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

This important find was cast at the Roman Bronze Works in New York City around the turn of the century 1900, titled "Watcher of the Plains", measures 11" tall and 9" across, with untouched patina.
