We pleased and proud to have been commissioned by the Personal Representative for the Estate of Charles A. Whitmore Jr. This estate is the old Rockland sea faring family of Augustus Welt, ship captain and ship builder and part of the Davis family which were founders of Fuller Cobb DavisHardware store that later became Crie Hardware where the building stands today on Main St. Although some of furnishings have left the home in the past 100 years there still remains many of the original furnishings along with Items that Capt. Charles A. Whitmore Sr. added over the years. We will be selling without reserve the entire contents including wonderful Oriental Rugs, Victorian marble top furniture, period Chippendale dining table, Hepplewhite sideboard and card table, Governor Winthrop slant front desk, Wonderful mahogany sleigh bed, Large oval portraits of Capt. Augustus Welt and his wife, Hepplewhite country secretary with tiger maple draw fronts, ephemera, attic and basement contents, the workshop tools, mowers, trailers, both of the vehicles and lots more !! This will be an old fashion country style auction don’t miss it!!!
Important notice !!! Auction of all vehicles, tools, lawn care items, electronics, household items not in the antiques or collectible class will be sold Sunday Afternoon April 8 that 2:00pm with no order of sale at the Elks Lodge some inside and some outside. Auction will last about 1 hour.
