We have been commissioned by the grand-daughter of the late Maine Governor Frederick Payne (1949-1952), and later U.S. Senator (1953-1959) to sell at public auction the contents of his home/office in Waldoboro, Maine along with a very interesting selection of antiques.

Governor Payne highlights include letters, photos, and collectibles from his political career along with books from his office. Also personal photos fishing with President Eisenhower at the Parmachenee Lake Club. Some baseball player items and lots of political signed letters, photos, etc. We also offer antique guns, 1898 or before, featuring an extremely rare Confederate carbine rifle, ALA. 1864, and several flintlock and percussion rifles and pistols, along with powder horns, flasks, belts, etc.

Also Victorian furniture, Items of Interest, Winslow Homer signature with studio stamp, and lots more! 75+ box lots from political to attic!

We will be pleased if you can join us for this summer auction of fresh Maine antiques, collectibles, and ephemera!! NOTE: We are still sorting and unpacking Governor Payne’s items!
