Over 100 pieces of flatware by S. Kind and Sons, found in Maine and claimed to belong to John F. Kennedy and his wife, Jackie. This silver was given to Mrs. Van Winkle by Jackie O. while working at Doubleday Publishing, found along with a letter and two photographs, all to be sold as one lot. The letter is handwritten by Jackie, the silver is all monogrammed JFK. It was discovered in a storage area after Mrs. Van Winkle's death. Also from the estate a Diamond Dinner Ring 5.37 total ct. belonging to Valerie Van Winkle, American Ballet Theatre New York City owner of the aclaimed Kennedy silver, the ring has two 2 ct. stones, two 1/2 ct. stones and multiple diamonds set in platinum. Other sterling includes a set of 12 Reposse spoons by Theodore Starr, rare silver top pitcher, set of 6 grapefruit spoons, Gorham 4-pc. tea set, large pitcher, nice pair of Gorham plated candle-sticks with hurricane shades, sterling bowls, miscellaneous napkin rings, flatware, etc. Still digging!!!
