A rare find of a gold medal presented to Commodore M.C. Perry
by the merchants of Boston 1854 for negotiations with Japan,
in original case, the only known gold medal of its kind; hand
painted school girl box; Mrs. Lawrence Lewis' estate with house
scene painted on cover, original paper interior and original
painted sides; pair of 19th c. handmade Civil War inlaid picture
frames with shields, leaf carving and more! Bronze nude by Bunny
Adelman, 20th c. American artist, on marble base, 26"H x 17"
W; 18th c. Chinese bronze 8" tall lady; Humpty Dumpty Clown mechanical
bank in original worn paint (missing base plate); sailor carved
swordfish bill made into a sword with heart, star and rope designs;
life ring from the ship Alva along with lot of other specimens;
photos, outriggers - all collected on the Vanderbilt yacht; wonderful
Chippendale looking glass, circa 1780; large chopping bowl in
original red paint; old fishing creel in red paint; duck decoys;
19th c. shipbuilder's scale half model; 19th c. pair of spurs
with original leather, signed "star Steel Silver"; full ship
model; boxed Sextant, brass, long scope, ship's clock, etc.;
early French clock with silver inlay, circa 1800; old hand painted
sled; two hooked rugs by George Wells, NY, of an elephant and
tiger, both with labels and letter 'W' woven in the design; hooked
rug with cabin, trees, etc; early sampler with cat, roses, etc.,
circa 1820; pair of 14" whale oil lamps; large double swing handle
basket; American Indian blanket; Colonial mirror with ship painted
tablet; 7'foot long, 24-drawer cabinet, 21" tall; very unusual
inkwell desk box.
