We have been commissioned by the heir to the
estate of H. Chad Richards of Camden, Maine to sell at public
auction the entire contents of this wonderful estate!! Chad
was a life-long resident of Camden. He and his wife were
proud of the antiques they collected during their sixty years
of marriage. We will sell the contents in three sessions
over a 3-day period: Saturday-January 24th, Sunday-January
25th, and Monday-January 26th, 2009 at the Rockland Elks
Lodge in Rockland, Maine.
Saturday will be the contents of the house with early
American furniture, a Bennington pottery collection,
rare blown whale oil and tin lamps, thousands of postcards,
wonderful country accessories, hooked rugs, paintings,
prints, and more!
Sunday will be Mr. Richards’ gun collection
and related items. Chad quietly collected early
guns over a 60-year period - all stored in the house!
Monday we will sell the contents of his storage barn and
shop which has hundreds of collectibles and rare oil lamps,
parts, shades, and early furniture!
